Republic of PARAGUAY ATENEO of language and culture GUARANI ARY 25 – years GUARANI, MERCOSUR NE TEETE then for 18 years, the Senate approved today the treatment of the law of languages read original (click): in a fact that can be considered historical, in the date, Thursday, July 8, 2010, the Chamber of Senators of the Republic of Paraguay ruled treat the law of languages, after 19 years of postponement. The proposal arose the national Senator Iris Rocio Gonzalez, was approved by the plenary. Three days ago that members of various institutions devoted to the promotion of the Guarani: public and private, come flocking on this particular, with several parliamentarians. Thus, yesterday Wednesday 7 July 2010, at 10: 00 hours, the Group held a meeting with the Senator, Lic. IRIS Rocio Gonzalez, President of the Commission of education, culture and cult of the Chamber of senators.
It is noteworthy that the Senator Gonzalez, for several years, the main propulsion of the law indicated; and on the other hand, it is the parliamentary that always accompanied and wholeheartedly supported all projects related to the promotion of the Guarani language. The Group gave the Senator a voluminous folder containing thousands of signatures of citizens who support the adoption of the law of languages. The second meeting was with the Senator, Dr. Marcelo Duarte, who stated that the law of languages project is a joint effort of various private and public organizations; that you are now requesting expeditious treatment of the project; qua 18 years ago that 77 and 140 articles do not have a regulatory act. Finally, the Group met with the Senator, Dr. Rogelio Benitez, who expressed their interest and predisposition for – if possible – to achieve the adoption of the law of languages as soon as possible and as a tribute to the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the national independence.
